Saw a news program last night with a couple of people talking about the G8 proposals for Africa. One of them was critical of the kind of aid offered, as well as the condition pushed by GWB of "opening up those countries markets".

This speaker specifically mentioned subsidized agricultural products from the US as being able to adversely impact the agricultural economies of these countries. In effect, the US would "dump" into their newly open economies.

I think the US has laws against foreign countries "dumping" subsidized products into our markets.

Greed knows no bounds, or it wouldn't be greed, I guess.
