I think that the leakers are holdout appointments from the Clinton era - but it will not be too difficult too find out who is leaking what.

There are folks who are seriously set against a move against Saddam - why?

Because Saddam acted against or ousted:

A)
Will give Bush a ten-20 point jump in support going into the November elections and insure a GOP held Senate and Congress.

B)
Will act to minimize the importance of Israel in the region.

C)
Will take out/destabilize one of the largest Al Qaeda sub-networks in the middle east.

D)
Will forever put to rest the "Bush let Saddam go scot-free" rhetoric the left bandies about even though they were dead set against Desert Storm from the outset.

So leaking plans is NOT just for a little media bribe...or glory, but there is MUCH more at stake.
