The Washington Post reports that the body of another little girl may have been found who went missing.

The Post has a stunningly glaring omission in its story that was included in the original AP story:

...Johnson had spent the night at a home shared by Cassandra's father, Ernie Williamson, and a roommate, Ernie Williamson said.



Ernie Williamson and Cassandra's mother, Angela Williamson, had separated but still spent some nights together at the home. Thursday night, the entire family was at the home — Ernie and Angela Williamson and their four children.

Authorities said Cassandra was in the kitchen around 7:30 a.m. with her father. Williamson said he was about to pour his daughter a bowl of cereal and left the room briefly to go the bathroom. When he returned, the girl, dressed in a white nightgown and barefoot, was gone.

The father said he also noticed that Johnson was gone. About a half-hour later, Williamson said, Johnson returned to the house, wet and muddy, and said he had been swimming in the nearby river. Police began questioning him soon after he returned.



Why the Post omitted this critical information about the transient is unknown. Maybe it raises a few too many of those uncomfortable "lifestyle" questions for a liberal paper, similar to those that floated to the surface in the Danielle Van Dam case. Who is the "roommate?" Is this a male or female? And the mother was staying there that night too? What in the hell was a "transient" doing sharing a house with four kids? Is there anyone out there who would let "transients" sleep in the house with their kids? Does anyone else think this smells?

I predict it's going to smell a lot more before this is done.
