Tonight on the History Channel

Although I won't be able to watch it, those of you interested in comparing the real research versus Hollywood's version of crop circles can see a preview of the action tonight on the History Channel:

Colin Andrews reports from England – 2002.
Report #1
Filed 5th July.

My first commitment was to take part in a new one hour American television program called ‘History v Hollywood’ to be aired on the History Channel, in the USA on the 29th July.

The program sets out to investigate the differences between what is actually happening in the field of Crop Circles research, with views, theories, findings etc.. and compare them with how the new movie ‘Signs’ treats them.

The Hollywood blockbuster movie, staring Mel Gibson is to be released by Touchstone-Disney on the 2nd August. The film will show a farmer (Mel Gibson) and his family in Pennsylvania surrounded by crop patterns and eventually by ET’s who have come to Earth to harvest body parts. Much of the story line has been kept a close secret by the film-makers.

The television anchor, Josh Binswager, flew in from his breaking interview for Fox with American celebrity Martha Stewart in Washington, following serious allegations against her. These ‘insider trading allegations are making national news in the United States.

Josh and I filmed several sequences throughout the day, ending in a very interesting piece for the end of the program, filmed at night on a hill in the UFO hot spot near Avebury. The television cameras were fitted with night-time lens (image intensifiers). I was asked questions about the phenomenon which where then also posed to Mel Gibson, 5,000 miles away in Hollywood.

This program is a scoop for The History Channel, in so much as they have been given access to clips from the movie, access to Mel Gibson and I seemingly together, and an airing date ahead of the other major TV programs ready to air also on the Crop Circles and the new movies about them. Most will air on the 2nd August and beyond.

The weather in the UK is very dismal with rain each day (so far) and also windy. No opportunity yet to capture the crop patterns from the best place, the air. A new very impressive pattern appeared yesterday within sight of Stonehenge and this will be covered in a future report.

Total tally of events worldwide this year, nears forty and climbing quickly.
