Until we can actually stabilize the outrageous growth rate of the Federal government, we are always going to have trouble.

Reagan budgets that would have cut spending and deficits were "Dead On Arrival" at the Democratic House of Representatives.

Oddly enough, Clinton budgets that would have increased spending and deficits were "Dead on Arrival" at the Republican congress. Remember the Republican control of the legislature through most of the Clinton years? How come they never get credit for the surplus?

A pattern, maybe?

The Democrats never cut spending, with the possible exception of the military. Republicans do, but not nearly as often as they should. Both parties tend to throw out cash for votes in election years.
