A - What secrets? Between the Hanssens (and there's another one in there as suggested by Russian defectors) and the Ames, they don't have secrets. EXCEPTION - The American people. They keep secrets from Americans.

B - 9-11 happened. Happened right under their noses. What secrets can be kept about that? The ONLY secrets which leaked were about how much GWB $ Co. knew. Which was a lot. Enough to stop it. But they said they had too much information. And now they want to enlist millions of domestic spies, for even more.

C - This isn't about the Iraq attack, it's about 9-11. However, the screeching about leaks over that are bogus. Everything printed could have been guessed after GWB announced he was forgoing the long-standing American policy of innocent until doing something. After all, many places have WMD and have used them, including the US.

D - What's worse, having these True Believers with police powers, and the ability to call anyone an "enemy combatant" without the "combatant" having done anything, able to slap Congressfolks onto a lie detector, or having the occasional "secret" leak to the American people? (Beginning to sound a bit like Iraq if they have their way.)

If there is to be an America worth saving it has to be AMERICA. We have to respect civil rights, we have to respect others, we have to stand for certain principles, EVEN IF THE OTHER GUY DOESN'T.

We can defend ourselves vigorously, aggressively, and with honor. We can be as bad as the bad guys, with honor. We could pursue freedom, with honor, and have something worth defending.

When you're the biggest guy on the block you can be the baddest guy on the block, with honor.

Or we can just plain be as bad as the bad guys. Without anything to be proud of, with no honor, just body counts. Like them.

To be great, we have to act great.

THE AMERICA I LOVE IS ONE WITH PRINCIPLES. BETTER THAN THE BAD GUYS, FREER THAN THE BAD GUYS, AND ABLE TO LEAD THE WORLD PROUDLY, WITH HONOR.
