Wouldn't it be something if...

Bin Ladin were left alive precisely so that when he ran to Iran or Iraq he would give the US the next target to attack in the war on terror?

Also, as long as he is alive and his "Terror network" is wasting its time protecting him, they are less likely to be engaged in launching new attacks on the United States. As the network tries to protect him, he becomes a liability that causes the network to expose itself. Especially if we really do know where he is.

I would think that Bin Ladin might be more valuable to us alive and at the head of his dying organization than he would if he were dead.

P.S. The more we talk openly of attacking Iraq, the more I think the next target is somewhere else. (Like Iran or Syria)
