When I say the DNC are like lice...that naturally is talking about the Democratic National Commitee and not all democrats. Their divisive rhetoric does make them a destructive component of our nation. After the terror attacks they laid low their divisive rhetoric - which would have been spotted by all a million miles away - but returned to it as soon as they feasibly could out of pure self-interest - not national interests.
This of course is the "lice" factor. The DNC was clearly uncaring and calculating - and all their "united" rhetoric immediately post 9-11 was an excercise in hypocrisy and posturing.
I stand by my comments. My perception is that all the people in the employ of the DNC are like lice - I would not care to count one among them as a friend. But I find myself uncomfortable around sleazy, manipulative folks anyway - but that's just me being me I guess.
My relatives are 85% democrats. Since the FDR days and the recovery my grandfather had admired what FDR had done withthe NRA. (Look into your history books - these initials do not mean National Rifle Association)
They vote party line mainly out of habit. My grandfather was a Democrat politician and so naturally Democrats they remain. Most are not real politics newshounds and are blissfully unaware of some of the issues and events that will turn one into a lifelong conservative.
They are not lice - they are simply uninformed prisoners of tradition. They feel the "Democrat helps the little guy" and that is about as deep as their reasoning goes.
Oh well...
