I took the train once from Northwestern Ontario to Orillia, just north of Toronto. The trip north around the Great Lakes alone took 36 hours. It didn't help that we had to wait a few extra hours while the OPP showed up and arrested several youth who where drinking under age, puking in the washroom, and stinking up the carriage. Having a whole train to yourself is definitely the way to go IMO.
