Two amusing anecdotes.
Last year I was in Boston's Back Bay station one day and I saw none other than Michael Dukaksis strolling through. The hilarious thing was, NOBODY recognized him!! Busy commuters, students and bums alike totally ignored the man who represented one of America's two major political parties in a Presidential election just 14 years ago! How sad. How pathetic. Finally someone wearing an Amtrak uniform came up and shook his hand.
When I was recently on the Acela Express to New York and the bumbling idiot in the dining car was screwing up half of the customers' orders, while I was waiting (and waiting and waiting) I commented to another Amtrak employee and he responded, "Yeah, that's Joe. He's as dumb as a box of rocks but we can't get rid of him"
