It's a nice ruse. However the emissions from the brain that express thoughts are at such a high frequency as to be matched and read only by a particle accelerator. Sure you can crack out an encephalograph and measure small electric currents (not that this will tell you diddly-squat) and I think even that will be difficult from a distance.

I would say without a doubt - that the US office of disinformation is online and churning out stories which will strike fear into the hearts of the ignorant.*
