The PLO would liked to have seen him gone also.
Not to mention the Saudis, Egyptions, Syrians, Iranians and even the Russians.
Nidal made an awful lot of enemies, inside the Fundamentalist movements, Middle Eastern Govenments and in the western world.
He had been inactive for some years, but some people have very long memories. And the ability and reach to match.
A point, he was a fundamentalist muslim, the tenants of Islam have deep teachings against suicide.
