<These babies make great platforms for special-purpose conversion vehicles
"We’re delighted that customers refused to buy the Excursion,” says Carl Pope of the Sierra Club. “It was a car, or a truck, or a monster that was far bigger than anyone needed it to be.”
If the Sierra Club hates it - darn it must be good! Don't you just love that leftist presumption and arrogance which tells folks what size of vehicle they need. In a nutshell that typifies the whole leftist-tyrant people-hating liberal mindset.

Once this baby finally goes - watch prices on remaining examples shoot through the roof. Dealers will be able to tack on a few grand as they are snapped up by big-vehicle lovers. Used models will hold their value better too - at least for five years or thereabout.
Here's the ideal set up:
XLT Special Service Vehicle
6.8L SEFI V10 engine (4x4)
Rear Seat Entertainment System
Comfortable seating for nine
11,000 lb. Maximum towing capacity and cavernous cargo volume
Then have Roush or another specialty machine shop massage the engine and chips to tweak the horsepower to around 600-700. (the vehicle weighs 7200 pounds and you want to have as close to a 10:1 power to weight ratio as possible)
If you're one of Bush's stormtroopers preparing an incursion into a urban underworld then you may want to have these folks replace your windshields and tack a few layers of kevlar in key spots as well.
Oh and if one has to buy a truck...this is my idea of a truck:

Sometimes bigger is better...

SDAI-Tech1
(Oh, and you can have a fleet of about ten of these for the same price as Larry's Maybach - or 3-5 if you do the heavy mods ;-)
Time to go shopping....
