The moral distinction between the intentional bombing of civilians by Palestinians and the accidental killing of civilians by Israeli military action is lost on some people. The Palestinian terrorists set out from the beginning to kill civilians. They train for it, plan for it, and build specialized equipment for this specific purpose. They get up in the morning and say, "Today I am going to kill as many civilian men, women and children as possible."

On the other hand, the Israelis consider collateral damage to be an aberration, something which deserves investigation, and possible punishment.

The Israelis were not targeting homes. They hit a home because the tanks missed their intended targets. This does at least make a difference in intent and morality, if not in results.
