Overriding US reservations, Afghanistan has agreed to release 110 Pakistanis held on suspicion of having fought for the Taliban and will send them home tomorrow.
"Two special flights will be operated tomorrow to bring back 110 prisoners being released by the Afghan government," a senior Pakistani Interior Ministry official was quoted as saying by the official news agency.
Kabul has agreed to release the prisoners in exchange of 20 Afghan prisoners held by Islamabad, the official said.
