"NEWSWEEK has learned that one of the bureau’s informants had a close relationship with two of the hijackers
NEWSWEEK Sept. 16 issue By Michael Isikoff
At first, FBI director Bob Mueller insisted there was nothing the bureau could have done to penetrate the 9-11 plot. That account has been modified over timeand now may change again. NEWSWEEK has learned that one of the bureau’s informants had a close relationship with two of the hijackers he was their roommate."
It just keeps adding up, more and more and more. There are two basic questions.
If they didn't listen to these warnings, what were they listening to? (Or were they asleep?)
If this sort of thing wasn't enough to alert them, what were the origins of the 9 months of incessant warnings we have endured, to watch for threats from big planes, small planes, to banks in the Northeast, to bombing utilities, and be especially careful of SCUBA divers? Those threats must have been even more specific and credible than the drumbeat they had regarding 9-11.
Let's see the spin the conservative Carvilles put on this.
Arf (and by the way, there's another lie by the Administration in here. Can you find it?)
