Iraqi fighter pilots take to the skies to attack Americans and British aircraft in the no-fly zone!
Well, okay, they wait until the armed, manned planes leave the area then go after the Predator drones. As far as I know, no Predator is equipped with any weapon capable of shooting down an airplane. Hail the brave Iraqi warriors!
And from the Christian Science Monitor (solidly opposed to a military attack on Iraq):
For hours, the thousands of Iraqi troops paraded in Baghdad, past a reviewing stand where Saddam Hussein – or at least his body double – presided. But amid all the menacing pomp was a tiny clue to the regime's vulnerability.
"The troops were all very neat, with Saddam looking at them," recalls Iraq analyst and journalist Patrick Cockburn. "But when I got close, I noticed they weren't wearing gloves – they were white sports socks."
Hey, this isn't as funny as it sounds. If they are used sports socks, such things could be lethal in hand-to-hand combat.
