Not a good one at all.
Serving in the National Guard is completely honorable.
Meeting certain deferments and exclusions was not dishonorable.
I believe there was a program at one point where some people were able to do national service instead of military service during the Vietnam War. That was perfectly honorable.
Tearing up your draft notice and leaving the country was not.
Lying to the draft board was not.
Actively helping the enemy was not.
