Geez!

Bowser — 9/21/2002 1:40:09 PM (archived)

"On Sept. 20, a firebase near Lwara came under rocket and small-arms fire. U.S. personnel responded with mortar fire and strikes by Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft. DoD officials said there were no U.S. casualties in the engagement."

This makes the news? What a war!

If this is "news", you have to wonder if the American people have the stomach for a war where a firebase which didn't come under fire was news, where there WERE casualties and maybe quite a few. I don't know.

But this ain't a war. This is the way it's always been in Afghanistan when foreigners occupied it. Ask the Brits.
