Been hearing about it for months

USSPACECOM is disappearing in a few days. It's being absorbed by USSTRATCOM (we call it MERGECOM). It's kind of funny because things keep going around in circles. Back in the late 1970s-early 1980s, Strategic Air Command controlled most space activities. Air Force Space Command was stood up around 1982. Many of the early AFSPACECOM personnel came from SAC because "well, missiles fly through space". Years later, the missiles somehow came under the control of Space Command. Now, we're back full circle to having most space activities come under STRATCOM. Like the old song goes, "Everything old is new again."
