Daschle's Blunder (one of many)

< Daschle acknowledged later that he had not heard or read a transcript of Bush’s remarks in Trenton but was reacting to an account in Tuesday’s edition of The Washington Post, which read:
“Four times in the past two days, Bush has suggested that Democrats do not care about national security, saying on Monday that the Democratic-controlled Senate is ‘not interested in the security of the American people,’” Daschle said.
However, according to a transcript of Bush’s remarks, the president did not refer to the “Democratic-controlled Senate,” only to the Senate itself.
Nor was Bush talking about potential war with Iraq.
Instead, he was referring to the bill to create a new Department of Homeland Security, which has been stalled in the Senate for weeks.
Bush’s comments on the homeland security bill and Daschle’s response appeared to reflect the frustration on both sides over an impasse between the administration and Senate Democrats.

From here.

How come it takes 24 hours to get the truth out? When news cycles are half an hour it seems strange.

All the lying and twisting - all just to sway the lefties and swingers that Bush is a baddy. They all want to believe it so much that they will eat twisting lies and piles of cowdung and believe its spaghetti and meatballs.

The media is often a willing accomplice - but as the nation becomes more conservative several outlets (i.e. ABC) have realized pandering to the left is obsolete and a way to go bankrupt fast (since the left generally abhors capitalism and advertisers who pay their fat $alary$ want $penders not tree huggers) - at lea$t they know what $ell$ the$e day$.
