"No matter how much the world changes after September 11, 'death to America' will remain our echoing slogan," the leader of the Hezbollah group, sheik Hassan Nasrallah, said. He urged Arabs and Muslims to support the Palestinian uprising, which, he said, "is heading toward victory."
Tens of thousands of people have marched through the streets of Beirut to demonstrate support for Palestinians.
Smaller anti-Israel demonstrations have been held in other Arab capitals as well.
Speakers have been condemning the United States for backing Israel and for leading attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq.
Hezbollah, which is on the US list of terrorist organisations, had called for the Lebanese demonstration, which was attended by several Lebanese and Palestinian officials.
