Afghan intelligence officials believe they know Omar's approximate location but "not the exact house and room," Khalid Pashtoon said. Omar is believed to be on the move constantly.

Afghan president Hamid Karzai says ousted Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar is still living in Afghanistan.

He believes Omar is based near the Pakistani borders but prospects of arresting him remain slim.

Speaking at a news conference during a visit to the Qatari capital of Doha, he said some members of the Taliban regime were still in Afghanistan.
