I Agree.

As we get older, 4 years doesn't seem that long any more. Obviously, with a 6-year term far less of the presidents time (percentage wise) will be consumed by election concerns.

I think the president’s job must be like anyone else’s. His competence grows with each passing day and each passing year. Does it really help to put in some FNG every four years?

Other nations economic, foreign, monetary, trade and military policies are driven by expectations of how the US and the rest of the will act in these arenas. A longer term may add stability to global decision-making. And it may decrease the frequency/amplitude of the economic cycles in this country.

I watched Clinton’s speech to the labor party last night. He spoke in regard to the global community. He talked about what the U.N. might still become. Although speaking from the luxury of retirement, He outlined his vision.
I hope soon Bush will accomplish the task at hand so we can hear his vision and maybe he'll have time to realize it.

If you fear six years, there's still impeachment.
