It like macro-management (as opposed to micro-management).

It happening where I work now, for example.
Over kill.
Macro everything.
Fear of having less.
Fear of being successful without major changes.
So, macro it to death.
Cut, chop, scorn, threaten, intimidate.

Too bad it all wasn't rice.
I'd much rather eat macrobiotic rice than be a macro-manager commander in chief.
"Oh hell, I'm the leader of the free world and I control the world's largest army/armada ever.......so let's friggin use it. Let's just MAKE everybody do our bidding. It's MY bidding."

Geesh.
