Just how fair do you want a war to be, with us against the aggressing nations of the world? Personally, I prefer overwhelming odds in our favor -- or what you ignorantly refer to as a "slaughter" -- where which we send troops in, take control, and improve the wellbeing of a land's citizenry.
You, on the other hand, would apparently prefer a long, drawn-out, dug-in fight to the finish, with lands and whole communities wiped out? That, knucklehead, is a slaughter.
