One hopes that this sterling example of a dictatorial power signing weapons agreements, blowing off any and all inspection efforts, and then violating the agreements in every way possible, is not lost on certain people.

As has been noted here, this North Korean doublecross is not exactly recent news.

The U.S. actually (under an administration that shall remain nameless) was willing to provide actual assistance to North Korea in building reactors, which of course would NEVER be used for weapons production. Honest.

Disarming North Korea, which is smack dab on the border with its most likely victim, South Korea, would be a lot harder than disarming Iraq. I think the North Korean population is a hell of a lot more brainwashed than Iraq's, although I would love to be proven wrong.
