Hang on kid, we'll be gone soon.
We know the terror you are going through.
We know the fear that eats into your parents' gut every day and every night of their life - the same fear you are growing accustomed to, but are not numb to yet.
And that will all stop, just as soon as we've expended all of this high-tech long-range guided ordnance we brought along.
Listen, we're doing the best we can to avoid collateral damage, but it's not our fault if Saddam puts the stuff we want to destroy right next door to you. It's not like the old days, where we put Sgt. Rock and Easy Company and a few thousands like him on a beachhead and say "Fight your way to the objective, and we'll provide close air support," and then they could choose what and who got shot at, and didn't. Now we have to make it as easy as possible for them, sometimes for weeks before the first boot hits the ground, and no system is 100% failure-proof.
We really really wish there was a different way to do this - but modern American war is like that, and that's what our Commander in Chief ordered us to do.
Enjoy the leaflets; sorry, they can't be eaten.
