Elder Bush praises son during Des Moines stop
"Former President George Bush said Sunday in Des Moines that his son faces the toughest times in the White House since the Civil War."
Imagine!! The toughest times since Abraham Lincoln!! Great company to be in.
By the way, do you suppose GHWB knows that 650,000 Americans died in that war? The it was about 1% of the population. The equivalent today would be about 3,000,000 souls. Viet Nam was "only" 58,000 dead.
Or do you think he knows about the devastation to entire regions of the country, Sherman's 60 mile wide swath not being the only place where a scorched earth policy took place? ("I'll make Georgia howl!")
Dunno.
Arf (So help me God I did not make this up!)
