KUWAIT -- Reuters
Kuwait prosecutors have released on bail 12 suspects arrested after two Kuwaitis killed a U.S. marine and wounded another this month, defense lawyers said on Wednesday.
They said the 12 were released on bail of between 100 and 500 Kuwaiti dinars ($330-$1,650).
Najeeb al-Wagayan, head of the defense team, told Reuters six Kuwaitis were still under arrest, including five men from the al-Kandari clan aged between 17 and 24. Two are brothers.
Kuwait authorities said Anas al-Kandari and Jassem al-Hajri were killed in the October 8 attack on the marines which it called a "terrorist" act. It said the two had been trained in al Qaeda-run camps in Afghanistan.
