<Adcock, EADS' main full-time lobbyist, keeps on his wall a copy of 15 rules he learned working for Majority Leader Lott.
"No. 1, everything is politics!" it reads. "No. 15, never forget!"
But EADS officials acknowledge they won't have enough doors open on Capitol Hill until EADS sets up significant U.S. facilities.
Last week, the company announced it will construct plants in Russellville, Ark., and northeastern Mississippi — Lott's home state — to build a prototype mobile field hospital and manufacture aircraft components. The Mississippi project will employ about 100.

Airbus is playing by the rules. Unfortunately those rules are unfair towards manufacturers wanting to do business in Europe.
Though I had thought that American Defense contracts pretty much went the same way. I have occassionally been known to be wrong...
