When Mondale ran for President
He promoted something really stupid called a "nuclear freeze" that would continued the cold war indefinately, leaving the USSR as a communist dictatorship.
The only hope this country has for this election to actually lead to good policy is for enough Republicans to turn out and vote, a la 1994 and and get both houses under control of reasonable people.
The dnc is proving itself interested only in power for their party, and not to care a lick for the people of the US.
