It doesn't seem to be a net heat gain to Earth, but does seem to be a phenomenum which could cause local problems.
I don't know if that falls under "the best laid plans of mice and men" or simply unintended consequences or just interesting.
What do they do around wind farms anyway. Do they farm around some, raise grain, fruit or whatever? Or nothing, if it's out in the desert?
Seems to me the ones I've seen are in wheat fields or desert.
