I read this twice. I simply cannot wrap my mind around Sam Kiley's viewpoint. Exposed to horror after horror in Iraq, yet calmly spouting the leftist anti-American parrot lines as though nothing had happened at all. I just plain don't get it. What am I missing? Some of the "callers" were frightening in their single-minded defense of Saddam as well.
It is still amazing to me that the loathing of America on the part of some of its own citizens can go so deep as to make them defend a creature like Hussein. The Left has lost it entirely.
"Why is Saddam Hussein suddenly, 11 years on, more of a threat than he was two years ago and I've not been particularly impressed with the technical intelligence that is being used to justify this policy.
He's not. It's just that two years ago we had a dungpile named Clinton in office who could care less about the threat to America, unless he could milk political advantage out of it.
