Re: Collectivism and the War on Terror

Okay, he has the basic philosophical principles of collectivism, individualism, and government right, but you lose me at the Vast Collectivist Conspiracy.

While it is perfectly true that there are foundations and origanizations with a leftward tilt, including the Ford Foundation, I refuse to believe that there is some organized conspiracy set up to promote this. The leftist bias at places like universities and the media is overwhelming, but it's not part of any organized conspiracy either. It's cultural, if anything, and probably has more to do with media people graduating from universities that are staffed by people who were born and bred during the '60s.

There are enough real problems with collectivism in our country without making up conspiracies to explain them.

Heck, if even half the people who are supposedly "in on it" according to this paper actually were part of a conspiracy, they would have easily taken over the country fifty years ago.

Besides, how do you coordinate this with the supposed Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy, which also seems to incorporate a lot of the same people and organizations?
