New York Mayor drops Republican act
When Bloomberg was elected mayor, some Republicans considered it a major victory. Wiser Republicans pointed out that Bloomberg is not now, and never was, a real Republican, and didn't count it as a victory at all.
Now the other shoe drops, and the huge new taxes are coming down the barrel.
This is a monumentally stupid thing to do in the face of New York's economic troubles. One expects this kind of psychosis from Democrats: "Economy bad? Why, then the best thing to do is blow the kneecaps off of businesses, since they are, of course, evil."
