Geez. I should have pointed out the "blue sky" research aspects of this earlier. Apparently no one else has picked up on this. Now it's all over the media in dozens of different formats, most relying on other sources for their information, not the original DARPA documentation. I've seen it about twelve times already today, and it's been blown WAY out of proportion.
