The INS has had a big effect on my life
My wife is a naturalized US citizen. My youngest stepson is a naturalized US citizen. My daughter-in-law is working to become a naturalized US citizen. Dozens of our friends are legal immigrants. We had extensive dealings with the INS.
And yes, I vote in every election.
This isn't at all uncommon. There are millions of 1st generation US citizens in this country who've had dealings with the INS. Most of them vote, too.
