Stating the obvious to the oblivious
If we'd wanted to take the oil, we would've done it in 1991 when we had several hundred thousand troops already there. We could've kept the Kuwati oil (~10% of the world's known reserves) and the Iraqi oil (about 10%). Hell, we could've taken the Saudi's oil (~20%) while we were at it. This tired line about oil you keep spouting is pathetically out of touch with reality. It's beyond mere ignorance.
