Now, that's true, at least Jesus was an inclusive, peaceful, turn-the-other-cheek, forgive 7 times 70 kind of guy.

But how can "God" be variable, cruel one year, kind the next, etc? Thought God was supposed to be a constant.

Serious question. I've always wondered that, gotten some answers over the years which blame his creations as being faulty. That doesn't seem to fit, either.
