Here's a CBS news article from Oct 5, 2002 about the Israeli Arrow ABM system. The article says they have one battery of Arrow missiles deployed. I've also read that Israel is asking us to send them some of our new Patriot PAC III systems if we go to war with Iraq. The PAC III production has just been stepped up to speed delivery.
The laser system that I've read about is for short range artillery-style rockets like the Ktusha (sp) rather than the Scud. It's the same system that recently destroyed artillery shells in flight during tests. It may not have the range to hit faster moving missiles like the Scud but I'm not certain of the system's capabilities.
