DEBKAfile ran a story on Iraq's response to our attempt to contact weapons scientists in Iraq.

Now, this is DEBKAfile, requiring the usual grain of salt, and with no other confirmation I can find. So to my mind there is no real evidence that this stuff has actually happened as written.

However, like other doubtful DEBKAfile stuff that makes you think about what might really be happening, one can't help but wonder why Saddam would be doing anything else other than taking the kinds of actions described in the story. Doesn't it seem likely that any important scientists are already gone or dead?
