Yep! I remember Paul Erlich alright!
Was only a teen back then, but saw him frequently making the rounds on TV talk shows, or on TV documentaries along with other eye-glazing academics who either bored me stiff [better than sleeping pills] or tried to interest you in their high-minded causes by "crying wolf", trying to scare you witless about one threat to humanity or another...
A TV documentary, based on his book, showed he fitted the latter category...
I wonder if he, back in 1968, seriously considered population growth a problem that could be solved?
