I think I read in the National Enquirer a few years ago.

Seriously, I have never heard of this. China has always seemed like an Isolationist country (The great wall for example). They had the technology to sail around the world, but I am not sure if they had the experience to navigate around the world (Not that they couldn’t learn). I have never seen any evidence of China doing this.

On the other hand, the Polynesians (I believe were of Asian descent) were excellent navigatiors. They set out in small boats across the great Pacific and were able to find islands. They learned by wave patterns (among other ways) on how to tell were land was. To me, they are history’s greatest sailors.
