Narrator
We are looking at a solitary protestor. As to his name, where he is, and what he is doing there - this even he does not know. For the journey that this protestor will take is an excursion into the shadow zone, and all of you are invited to go along.
Protestor:
"Can anybody hear me! Hello! Hello out there! Somebody help me! Where am I? last thing I remember I was listening to Martin Sheen talking about the war for oil and now I wake up here - in shackles."
A man appears all dressed in a white three piece suit. He has a deep baritone voice and a commanding presence. The observant can see his skin actually glows somewhat.
Man in white:
"Don't tell me you don't remember?"
Protestor:
"Remember what? This is insane! How did I get here! Where am I?"
Man in white:
"You are in Iraq. You made a prayer and it has been granted."
Protestor:
"I didn't wish for this! Get me out of here! I am going to miss Sheen's speech!"
Man in white:
"Hold on a second."
He lifts his hand a piece of paper magically appears. He puts on a pair of gold spectacles and reads the paper.
"No, it's all here: 'Dear God let me find a way to help the neediest of Iraqis most. I will do anything to help the cause and put an end to America's evil war before it starts.'
That's from the official record. Do you remember now?"
Protestor:
"Yes, I remember something like that. But what's this all about? Who are you and why am I in shackles!"
Man in white:
"This is Abdal's cell. He was about to die here when Saddam's private torturer comes back. You have taken his place - because he was the neediest man in Iraq when you made your prayer."
Protestor:
"This is insane! I don't want to die! Get me out of here! Please dear God get me out of here!"
Man in white:
"That is almost word for word what Abdal was saying in Arabic. He is now in San Francisco living your life and you are now Abdal. God has granted, both of you, your prayers. Here take a look."
The man in white raises his hand and a mirror appears. He holds it in front of the man who is staring at this strange face in disbelief.
Protestor:
"Nooooooooooooooo! Where is my face? Please no! I take it back, I take it all back!"
Saddam enters the room with his torturer.
Saddam:
"Ah you take it all back! I see! Well, it is too late for that - you should of thought about that before you spoke with the UN weapons inspectors! You will never get a chance to betray Iraq ever again!"
Protestor:
"Help me! For the love of God! Hellllpppp meeeeee!"
Saddam leaves the room, laughing.
Torturer:
"Who are you talking to? No one can save you now Abdal."
Protestor:
"Why can't they see you! Why don't you do something! He's going to kill me!!!"
Man in white:
"I am an angel. I am not corporeal. Only you can see me. I cannot interfere with God's will. I don't see what you are so upset about. You have the honor of helping the neediest person in all of Iraq.
As a matter of fact...the only hope you have now is that America, and George Bush start a war....and fast."
Protestor:
"Noooooooooooooooo!"
