Now, the cat comes out of the bag.

At the meeting, on the future of a post-Saddam Iraq - details of which have been disclosed to the Guardian - the state department stressed that protection of the oilfields was "issue number one".

I thought it was finding WMD. I thought that was Issue Number One. Apparently not.

And deposing Saddam, who would be no problem without the WMD. What number is that? Not Number One

Oh, that's right. If "protection" of the oil fields is "issue number one", that leaves Saddam AND WMD.

Another question comes to mind. “Liberating” the people is issue number what? Ain't Number One.

Boggles the mind.
