This is typical green doublespeak. I can project the death of millions due to volcanic eruptions and ash influencing those with respiratory problems. It's another manifestation of the Greenhouse Effect Science Syndrome. (GESS) Which is my own coined description for the perversion of the scientific method in favor of a predetermined scientific judgment bolstered by interpretive and subjective analysis of a limited set of data. Green scientists do a lot of GESSing.

Not surprisingly, Greens also use fear: The exploitation of the scientifically illiterate to further political power and ambition.

What scientific research have they ever embarked upon which did not rely upon fear or loss?

If I could take you to a meeting of european Green party activists - you would feel as if I teleported you into a 1979 punk rock gathering. Yes, the dysfunctional families' young and impressionable seeking for a cause and an identity flock to the Green party.

It's gotten so bad that when I hear that someone in scence is affiliated with the Green party - I not only immediately question their honesty and integrity, but wonder what dysfunctional environment spawned them on their crusade. And make no doubt about it - for them science is just a tool to secure court judgments and enact political legislation. It is not about science.
