I appreciate you don't want a war. I don't want a war. The soldiers don't want a war. And you know what? I bet Bush doesn't want a war. Nobody has had a chance yet to ask an Iraqi citizen without a gun to their head.
If any one of you can post any...ANY plausible alternative to military action in Iraq that does not end up with a nuclear-armed Saddam Hussein, or his lunatic son, busting loose in the Middle East and beyond in ten years, please let me know.
Be warned...if you come back with some pantload like "let the inspections work," I'm going to make you tell me what the hell "work" means in this context. What happens if no weapons are found? What happens if some are found? How long do they look? One year? Ten years? Fifty? Then what comes next? And what is going on elsewhere in Iraq while the inspectors are running around bumping into things?
