Blood and guts
<...apparently everyone not in agreement with spilling blood and guts is a "blithering idiot."
I was primarily thinking of foreign politicians and Hollywood types, but whatever.
And we have pretty well established that it's no longer a matter of spilling blood. It's whether we spill some blood to squash a lethal threat to millions, or sit on our hands for the next decade and watch Saddam spill the blood.
There are no longer any viable blood-free alternatives, and as it has been proven many times through history, sometimes there just aren't.
