Re: No more Henrietta Pussycat....

I grew up with Mr roger's Neighborhood. I loved when they went to visit different places, like the cake decorating shop, or the crayon factory.

I thought his trolley was really cool, but wished it went to different places beside his fantasy land. I always lost interest in the show when they went there.

One of the great things about Mr Rogers, and I believe he was revolutionary in this, was that he made each child who watched feel like they were a part of the show. Mr Rogers actually talked to the kids on the other side of the tube. I think Blue's Clues and Dora the Explorer are great shows for my daughters for the same reason. My 2 year old watches them more than any other. She likes Barney for the singing, but not much else. Teletubbies has always been and will forever continue to be banned in my house. Like kids need to learn more babytalk. I don't think there is any redeeming value to that show.

Fred Rogers will be missed by many, I am sure.
